Dapper Defined...

I started making cakes on occasion as a way to steal the show at potlucks and get togethers with coworkers, family, and friends. Over time, I challenged myself to try new and more difficult techniques and create cakes with stunning flavor profiles to varying degrees of success. My skills continued to improve over the next year but I continued to see my cake making as more of a hobby than as something with the potential to earn any money. All of that changed when a friend asked me if I would be willing to make their wedding cake. I accepted the honor and the result was a stunning success! Everyone at their wedding raved about the beauty and taste of the “Hidden Rainbow” cake. It was a tremendous confidence boost for me and at that point, I knew that I had what it takes to be successful as a cake maker. From then on, I focused on creating simple yet sophisticated edible works of art that could elicit emotions and bring people closer together. Nothing brings me more satisfaction than seeing the     smile on a customers face when they first see their cake... and I plan on staying satisfied.
